Light the World with Hope

Over 100 volunteers joined Light the World to pack 30,000 meals for children in Johannesburg. This Christlike service brought hope, joy, and togetherness to givers and receivers alike.

On December 10, 2024, the YSA Branch in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, partnered up with SANBS for a blood drive, part of the Light the World campaign. The event brought the community together to save lives through donation, with each donation potentially helping up to three people.

On December 13, 2024, volunteers from the Africa South Area Office of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints delivered essential supplies to Door of Hope in Johannesburg as part of the Light the World campaign. The donation brought hope and joy to abandoned babies in need of food, nappies, and care items, highlighting the impact of small acts of service.

On December 14, 2024, volunteers from the Gqeberha Stake uplifted Nonkqubela Preschool in Motherwell by improving its safety and creating better learning spaces. This Light the World project fostered hope and unity through Christlike service.

On November 30, 2024, over 75 attendees gathered at Lifateng Chapel in Thembisa for an interfaith meeting hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The event celebrated shared faith in Jesus Christ, community service, and unity across diverse backgrounds.

East London Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came together in a spirit of service for a 5km Fun Run/Walk supporting the East London SPCA.
