We had our first Mormon helping hands project Saturday 30 May 2015. We offered service at Zanele Mtshali Disablity Home, Khutsong, Gauteng (Roodepoort Stake). This is a place we have visited in prior years. We decided to go back because we want to maintain consistency and because we wanted to meet needs we identified last year. So this year we had a few members together with the bishop donate cleaning material and some disposable diapers (which were identified as their greatest need). They were very happy with the donation.
The members helped with cleaning of the building, laundry, gardening, and playing with and feeding the children. The service lasted 2 hours. Our next project will be on the 20th June 2015 at one of the Home Based Care Centres.
